Scots for Leave ask Mrs May to stand by her pledge

In the first week of debate on the Prime Minister’s Withdrawal Agreement, Scots for Leave would like to remind the PM of the pledge she made to every single Conservative Party member in the wake of the Chequers Agreement.

After Chequers was announced, many Conservative party members were expressing concern at what they saw to be a let down.  This prompted the PM to write a letter to every single Tory party member on 3rd August 2018.

This letter, a pledge to each and every member, contains the unretractable line “No deal is better than a bad deal”.

And a statement which is incontrovertibly true.

Scots for Leave ask Mrs May to stand by her pledge

We at Scots for Leave would like to remind May of this pledge as she considers her options going forward.  When her proposed Withdrawal Agreement is rejected, as looks likely, it will be up to her to strike out and declare No Deal as Government policy. Based on the repeated pledges she has made to the electorate and also to her own party members, this must be her next course of action.

No Norway deal.  No Second Referendum.  No withdrawal of Article 50.
